TESTIMONY OF MARCELINE J. MORAIS
My name is Marceline Josephat Morais. I was born and brought up in a Roman Catholic family. Inspired by the lives of St. Francis of Assisi, Florence Nightingale and Fr. Damien, I was longing to become a saint in the Roman Catholic Church from the early childhood. At the age of 10, I made a commitment to become a monk and priest. When I was 18, I entered a monastic system called the Order of the Discalced Carmelites. At the end of the 10-year training I was ordained a priest with a B.D. degree.
Again I was given the opportunities to take diplomas, graduate and post graduate degrees in counseling and transactional analysis, mass media communication, arts, and journalism. Finally, I was honored with a degree of Doctor of Divinity by the International Christian University, Virginia.
I was privileged to be the managing editor of the South Asian Religious (SAR) News agency, executive director of Edit-Aids, secretary of Indian Catholic Press Association (ICPA), council member of Union Catholic Internationale de la Presse (UCIP), executive body member of International Federation of Catholic News Agencies (FIAC), and South Asian Catholic Press Association (SACPA). I served also as the minister of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) Center, New Delhi.
I was born again of water and Spirit, in 1993. Ever since, I was teaching, preaching and counseling all over India and abroad.
By divine the guidance I married Susamma (Lizza) a former Marthoma Church believer from Koleth family, Kojhencherry on November 14, 1994.
